Where to meet on an Irish summer’s day

The Meeting of the Waters in The Vale of Avoca, County Wicklow, the subject of Thomas Moore’s song of the same name and where he composed it under a tree on the river bank. The tree, which is no longer standing, was on the bank of the Avonbeg River on the left which is meeting the Avonmore River on the right. Together they form the Avoca River.
