Congressman Richard E. Neal speaks at the U.S. premiere of the critically acclaimed new film, "Bobby Sands: 66 Days,” which chronicles the 1981 hunger strike of Bobby Sands. The screening was held at the Independent Film Center in New York City. Neal, a leading figure over many years in the U.S. role in the peace process, joined director Brendan Byrne at the screening. As a Springfield, Mass. city councilor, Neal sponsored a resolution in support of the hunger strikers and years later visited Long Kesh prison where Sands died. “66 Days” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 30.
