Sommer Queally, whose father us from County Clare, is concluding a hugely successful season as a senior on the Loyola School Lady Knights Varsity Softball Team. She was co-winner of the “Sheehy Award” for best female athlete at Loyola School and was chosen the 2016 New York City Athletic League’s (NYCAL) Most Valuable Player. She was also named to the NYCAL’s “All-League Team.” As Loyola School’s number-three hitter, Sommer, who plays third base, scored 18 runs, hit five home runs, and had 19 RBIs.
