Storms bring back memories of Charley

The storms battering Ireland of late will bring back memories to many of Hurricane Charley, which struck Ireland in late August, 1986 after crossing the Atlantic, this after wreaking havoc on the U.S. eastern seaboard. Ireland’s east and south coasts were particularly hard hit by the hurricane as Charley’s strongest winds blew counter clockwise as it passed just to the south of the island. This flooded street was in Dublin.
