Meath's Duffy moves to King College program

King College of Bristol, Tenn. recently hired Simon Duffy as head coach of its Division 2 women's soccer program. Duffy, a native of Navan, Co. Meath, leaves his alma mater, Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn. to take over the reins at King. The Lady Tornados, who compete in the Conference Carolinas, went 8-13-0 in 2010 and will lose just one player to graduation. Duffy's Lambuth team posted a 6-11-0 record last season.

Duffy twice was named an All-Mid South Conference team honoree during his playing days. Upon graduating from Lambuth with a bachelor's degree in psychology, he continued his education at the University of Tennessee-Martin, where he earned a master's in education.

Duffy holds Level 1 and Youth Coaching certifications from the Football Association of Ireland, as well as a national 'A' license from the United States Soccer Federation and an 'Advanced National' license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
