Co. Meath’s McKeon gets 23 in Drew loss

Dara McKeon’s shooting was a bright spot for Drew, which lost, 98-79, to Keystone College in men’s basketball in Madison, N.J. on Friday. McKeon, a senior forward from Dunboyne, Co. Meath, put 23 points on the board for the Rangers, hitting 10 of 15 field goal attempts, including two of four from out deep, and one of two free throws. He also had four rebounds, three assists and two steals as Drew fell to 2-7.

WOMEN’S HOOPS

Hannah Thornton came off the bench to chip in 11 points for Northern Colorado in a 74-51 road loss to undefeated Texas-El Paso last Tuesday. Thornton, a junior from Dublin, cashed on four of six field goal attempts and three of six free throws, all in just 12 minutes. Northern Colorado is now 6-5.
