Law & Order Honoree

Matthew Moroney received his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law, cum laude, after earning his undergrad degree from Villanova University where he minored in Irish studies. While in law school, he was a staff member of Temple Law Review and is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Moroney is an associate with the law firm Goldberg, Miller & Rubin in Philadelphia and focuses his practice on civil defense litigation, including bad faith claims, personal injury actions and insurance coverage issues. He also prosecutes civil RICO and fraud claims involving individuals, medical providers and attorneys who defrauded insurance companies. He successfully won numerous jury trials and was co-counsel on two trials in federal court in which his clients won jury verdicts of over seven million and fifteen million dollars, respectively.

Moroney was named a Pennsylvania Rising Star Super Lawyer for 2008. His father is from Dungarvan, Co. Waterford and his mother's parents are from Gort, Co. Galway and Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo.
