Photo of the Day: New York State Senator Tim Kennedy was one of three honorees at an event Tuesday evening hosted by The Council For American Ireland Relations (CFAIR) at Gossip bar and restaurant in Manhattan. Senator Kennedy, pictured third from left, was presented with a print depicting the Irish Brigade's Fighting 69th before it went into action at the battle of Antietam in September, 1862. The print had for years been displayed in the office of the late attorney Frank Durkan of the O'Dwyer and Bernstien law firm.
