Forty Years for Murder of Garda

Aaron Brady has been sentenced to a mandatory forty years minimum for the capital murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe and 14 years for robbery, the sentences to run concurrently. After a trial of 122 days the Armagh native was found guilty of the capital murder of Detective Garda Donohoe during an armed robbery at Lordship Credit Union outside Dundalk in 2013. Brady had lived in the New York area for a time and was ultimately apprehended after a joint NYPD/Garda investigation.
