The European Golf Tour has announced that this year’s Irish Open will be played north of the border next month in Ballymena, County Antrim. The tournament was scheduled for May at Mount Juliet in County Kilkenny but was cancelled due to Covid-19. The new venue, the Galgorm course, was chosen because the North does not have a mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
