Finest versus Bravest in Rockland charity game

The NYPD and FDNY will battle it out for charity this Saturday

If the Dublin V Kerry All Ireland replay wasn’t enough to satiate the football appetite, this Saturday also features a storied battle between old rivals in Rockland County.

The Gaelic footballers of the New York Police Department and Fire Department of New York will be having their very own showdown at the Rockland GAA Field with the start of game set for 5 p.m.

The game will be a charity event with proceeds being donated to the family of Police Officer Chris “Clyde” Konecni of the 20th Precinct who passed away earlier this year.

The Rockland GAA Field is located at 160 old Orangeburg Road in Orangeburg. Entertainment will be provided by The Narrowbacks.

Admission in advance is $10 and $15 at the gate.
