The New York Studio of Irish Step Dance offers a variety of classes including group and individual private lessons to adults among three locations in both New York City (Upper West Side and Midtown West) and Westchester County (Yonkers). The school welcomes all levels – Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced – wanting an enjoyable high-energy workout. The New York Studio of Irish Step Dance's distinctive approach lends itself to a warm and welcoming feel for students who can join on a rolling basis any time of the year. They feel they are dancing alongside their friends in a social and supportive environment. Although the majority of the dancers are in their 20s and 30s, the school welcomes students as young as 4 for private lessons and as old as 62 for group classes from all countries worldwide such as China and Israel.

In addition to weekly class offerings, the school also often hosts workshops and master classes from professionals outside of the school that offer up different takes on Irish step dance as it continues to evolve over the years. Within just the past few months, they have welcomed dancers old and new from the likes of Fusion Fighters and Lord of the Dance.

Additionally, the school boasts the Irish Step Dance Troupe of New York comprised of accomplished champions - a number of which had previously competed at the international level. Within just the past three years since the school opened its doors, their professional company members have performed at numerous venues and for business leaders such as New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio and Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney in addition to nationwide audiences on TV such as FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS and VICELAND. They also regularly perform at pubs, festivals, weddings, parades, dinner dances, political events and nursing homes. This past summer, the school's dancers were also filmed for a music video of rising pop star EVA which was recently featured in The New York Times. Additionally, they look forward to performing at a few upcoming high-profile sporting events.

The New York Studio of Irish Step Dance is also a proud member of Rince Tuatha Nua, Irish Network New York City, American Irish Association of Westchester County, and McLean Avenue Merchants Association. Additionally, the school recently commissioned the launch of its own music album entitled Dance the Town Green.

The school looks forward to welcoming more students in the New Year and scheduling many more performances for audiences around the Tri-State and nationwide. Classes are filling up fast and performances are being booked up – particularly during St. Patrick’s Day season – so please reach out today via info@irishdance.nyc or (914) 966-8017.
