President of the AFL-CIO, Richard L. Trumka, received the “World Peace Prize” at a ceremony at the headquarters of the AFL-CIO, in Washington, D.C. The award was given by the World Peace Prize Awarding Council, an international organization, on the recommendation of Father Sean McManus, President of the Irish National Caucus, and also the chief judge on the WPPAC.
