Seamus Carroll

Seamus Carroll

Vice President Emerging Companies, IDA Ireland

Age: 39

Place of Birth: Castlebar, County Mayo

Where you live: New York City

First Job: Chief of Pizza Operations (CPO)at a diner in Castlebar, County Mayo

What it taught me: As well as how to make a good pizza: how to deal with customers; how to take personal responsibility; how to plan and organize – materials, timing, etc.

Status: Married

Family: Wife Anne Marie; daughter Grace Anne

Three things people would be surprised to know about me:

1. Did rescue and first aid for the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps – on a team that represented Ireland in a European First Aid Competition

2. Generations of Carrolls have resided in Brooklyn, NY – my grandfather had a bar in Bay Ridge

3. Deep personal interest in the history of the Irish in America

Best advice you could give someone starting out: Whatever it is do what you enjoy doing and that generally means you’ll be good at it
