Bloomberg television anchor
Place of Birth: Stamford, CT
Where you live: Manhattan, NY
First Job: Salesperson at a retailer at 16. First (paid) TV job was as a CNBC researcher
What it taught me: The importance of branding, presentation and connecting with a consumer. My first TV job was doing research for anchor Louis Rukeyser. It taught me the importance of relationships, production involvement and how much viewers appreciate a calm, informed perspective.
Three things people would be surprised to know about me:
1. I’m a vegetarian
2. I still meet with a tutor to practice my Arabic
3. I was a competitive Irish step dancer
Best advice you could give someone starting out: Stamina – it is what you’ll need to get there and what you’ll need to stay there.
