Yonkers funeral service arrangements for Pat Quinn

A funeral service for Pat Quinn, the inspiration behind the Ice Bucket Challenge against ALS, will be held on Saturday, November 28 at Saint John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Avenue, at 10 a.m.

According to the Yonkers Police Department the following street closures will take place: Yonkers Avenue will be closed to commercial vehicles from Central Park Avenue to Midland Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Yonkers Avenue will be closed to all vehicles from Dunwoodie Street to Belmont Avenue from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saint John’s Avenue will be closed to all vehicles from Sweetfield Circle to Yonkers Avenue 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Seminary Avenue will be closed to all vehicles from Hayward Street to Yonkers Avenue from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Police Officers will be on traffic posts at these locations to assist residents, according to a department release. Pat Quinn was, among so many other things, an honorary Yonkers Police Officer.
