Hunger commemoration in Phoenix

Minister of State for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform, Patrick O’Donovan (pictured) is representing the Irish government and is being accompanied by Ireland’s Consul General in San Francisco, Robert O’Driscoll, at the International Famine Commemoration taking place in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend, November 1-3. The commemoration is being held at the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Irish Library. The commemoration, said a release from organizers, will recognize the enormous contribution of Irish people and those of Irish descent to Arizona and the Western United States.
