Fenagh was founded by Patrick Greenan, the son of 2 Irish immigrants who raised their 6 children in the heart of Boston. The name Fenagh is a village in Ireland where Patrick’s father Eugene was born and raised.

This past year, the Fenagh Family lost both Eugene and his wife Kathleen to old age; both were in their late nineties. The Irish couple were vibrant members of the Boston community that inspired everybody they met. Fenagh’s expansion in the same year as the couple’s passing is of symbolic importance to the entire company. Fenagh is more inspired than ever to continue serving their clients with trust, expertise, and hard work, paying homage to the company’s Irish heritage.

The new building is a major upgrade to Fenagh’s previous office, with ample room for engineers and administrative personnel. The 10,000 sq ft facility is divided between 8,000 sq ft of laboratory space and 2,000 sq ft of office space. All of the engineering stations and offices are designed to promote a collaborative work environment.

You can tell Fenagh feels right at home from the moment you walk in the door. The front lobby immediately invokes the company’s Irish heritage with a wall display that includes a Fenagh-branded Irish hurling club and traditional Celtic Bodhran drum.

On September 19, Fenagh held a Grand Opening Ceremony to celebrate the new office, and the exciting future it represents.

The celebration kicked off with an open house and networking mixer. There was Guinness, an Irish band, and a massive inflatable pub. Everybody gathered on the front lawn where there was champagne and a group toast before the founder Patrick Greenan officially opened the office by cutting a large red ribbon by the front doors. It was an exciting moment marking the next phase of Fenagh’s growth.

After the ceremony, the festival began. The inflatable pub was filled with food, drinks, and members of the Fenagh family, while the traditional Irish band provided musical accompaniment. Everybody celebrated into the evening, discussing Fenagh’s past accomplishments, their present opportunities, and the possibilities for their future.

As Fenagh moves forward, they hope to continue filling out the space with new engineers, administrative staff, and equipment. There is a lot changing in Boston, and Fenagh is proud to help ensure these changes lead to stronger, safer cities.
