Kearns sang for John and Oliver too

Internationally-acclaimed Irish tenor, Anthony Kearns, sang the national anthem for football fans at the recent Washington Redskins/Arizona Cardinals game at Fed Ex field. He was escorted by ex-Marine John Gerula and his service dog, Oliver, who was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter. John joined the U.S. armed forces in 2001 after witnessing the downing of Flight 93. He served with the Marines and the Army in Operation Phantom Fury. Oliver received extensive training by American Humane through their "Shelter to Service" program and is helping John recover from the wounds of war. He survived 21 IED attacks.
