A tribute to Andrew’s legacy

Andrew Grene was the sole Irish fatality in the Haitian earthquake that claimed 250,000 lives in January, 2010. A foundation was launched at the time in Cavan where Andrew was laid to rest. Now, seven years later, the Andrew Grene Foundation is the recipient of the William Jefferson Clinton Goodwill for Haiti Award. The award was presented at a gala event in Dublin last weekend. Pictured at the gathering were (l-r) Antonia King, Leslie and Carmel Buckley and Co-Director of the Andrew Grene Foundation, Tim Perutz.
