The Maynooth University Chamber Choir, which made history last July when it became the first Irish choir to lift the coveted Pavarotti Trophy as “Choir of the World” at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, will perform in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York next Tuesday, March 15, as part of its current world tour. The 36-member choir, which is comprised of students from Maynooth University in County Kildare, will perform in a concert that is open to the public and begins at 4 p.m. The choir will also be performing in Boston’s Fenway Park on St. Patrick’s Day.
