Fr. Brendan McBride honored for his work for immigrants

Fr. Brendan McBride, the San Francisco-based President of the Irish Apostolate in the United States and founder and head of the Irish Immigration and Pastoral Center in San Francisco, is presented with a Presidential Distinguished Service Award by President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtarain. Fr. McBride, a Donegal native, also played a central role in providing support to the victims of the Berkeley tragedy in June of this year.
