Paisley out of intensive care

Ian Paisley has been moved out of intensive care in the hospital where he is being treated for heart problems.

The former Democratic Unionist Party leader was admitted to the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald outside Belfast nearly three weeks ago.

A family friend said he is making "steady progress."

The 85-year-old stood down as Northern Ireland First Minister in 2008 and ended 60 years as a full-time preacher in January.
