The Irish Consulate in Manhattan was the setting for the recent introduction of the New York St. Patrick's Day grand marshal for the 2012 parade, Francis X. Comerford. Comerford, accompanied by his wife Maura, expressed his delight at the honor before an audience that included 2011 grand marshal, Mary Higgins Clark, and Cardinal Edward Egan, also a former grand marshal. The event was hosted by Consul General Noel Kilkenny.
