North rate to stick

Changes to Northern Ireland's corporate tax rate will not be happening for at least four years, this according to North finance minister Sammy Wilson.

The power-sharing administration at Stormont is awaiting a decision from London on whether the power to set the rate will be devolved to Stormont. Wilson doesn't see this happening during the lifetime of the current Belfast Assembly and Executive, hence his four year prediction.

Many leaders in the North want to match the Republic's 12.5 percent corporate tax level, so breaking away from Britain's 26 percent rate.
