Rockland gears up for feis

Rockland County is about to mark a big 38.

What is being billed as the 38th Rockland County Feis and Field Games is set for Sunday, July 17 at Anthony Wayne State Park in Stony Park.

The feis gets underway early at 8.45 a.m. with a dedication.

The day's festivities will feature no fewer than 375 competitions in dancing, singing, music, piping, Gaelic football, special needs dancing, soda bread, lilting, art and Celtic design, old time waltz contest, sheaf throwing contest, races, basketball and foul shooting. Mass will be said by Fr. Flor McCarthy.
