Flatley’s reason to celebrate

Michael was accused of attacking a Chicago real estate agent who accompanied him to Las Vegas for a weekend “date.” He insisted that everything had been consensual, and that the case was an attempt to blackmail him. She sued him for $40 million; he filed a countersuit for $100 million.
This week, a U.S. judge gave the woman’s lawyers a choice: drop the case or it would be dismissed. The lawyers opted to drop the charges. In the meantime, Michael plans to pursue his case.
In more Michael news, we hear that the grand housewarming party for his Castlehyde, Co. Cork, mansion has been pushed back to next spring. This should give his guest of honor, South African president Nelson Mandela, plenty of time to make travel arrangements.
