Burke’s goal lifts Harps in opener

Parlour Moms’ Lisa Moore responded in the second half, but Harps answered back as sweeper Teresa Brink hit Lisa Burke in the box off a direct kick, and Burke made no mistake. Parlour Moms defenders Amber Hutton and Karen Lindsay played well, as did Harps goalkeeper Gina Page and midfielder Jane Rail.

LANSDOWNE 1, SEAN OG’ 1
Sean Og’s scored the game’s first goal, in the second half, when Sue Labella took a long shot from midfield that cleared the keepers reach. Lansdowne tied when Melissa Man converted a 22-yard direct kick. Sean Og’s keeper, Caroline Murphy, and sweeper Linda played well on offense, while Lansdowne’s Bernie Boyle had a strong offensive game.

BEAL BOCHT 4, NED DEVINE’S 0
Beal Bocht took advantage of an undermanned Ned Devine’s, with Jeanine Rynne, Varine Carey, Sophie Harvey and Marnell Saunders each scoring. Mary Touhy had three assists. Ned Devine’s goalkeeper, Hilary Kelly, and Carmel Ahern played well.

FAGAN’S 0, VELOCITY 0
Maree Maloney, Shannon Connors, and Ann Murray played well for Fagan’s in this scoreless encounter. Best for Velocity were Nancy Blaine, Regina Chiu, and Chelsea Ferrette.
