Aer Lingus faces strike again

The workers, who are member of Ireland’s largest trade union SIPTU, want the company to drop new contracts they say mean more work and less pay.
The union said its Aer Lingus members would take rolling four-hour strike action on November 20 and 23 at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports if the airline refuses to restore temporary workers’ previous pay and employment conditions.
SIPTU represents about half the 3,700 workers at Aer Lingus.
Management is threatening to suspend staff who refuse to give an undertaking that they will not take part in the action. The threat has infuriated the union.
