Pearl River steps out

Since 1963, the Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians have been the driving force behind this parade, considered by many to be second largest in New York after the New York City parade, the parade regularly draws as many as 50,000 spectators.

The parade will step off from the Pfizer (formerly Wyeth/Lederle) parking lot off Middletown Road, Pearl River at 1.30 p.m. Details from the Rockland County AOH website at www.rocklandcountyaoh.com.

Also on the 21st the Greenwich Hibernian Association will run its parade in Greenwich, Ct. with Superior Court Judge Martin Nigro as grand marshal, Details on the parade Pat Wilson at (203)622-5820.

Meanwhile, the Union County, New Jersey parade which was scheduled for last weekend, took a rain check and will now take place on Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m. For details call (848)448-6885 or go to www.unioncountystpatricksdayparade.com.
