John Goodrich's firm is a personal injury law firm located in Downtown Pittsburgh specializing in handling products liability, automobile/trucking accidents, premise claims, medical malpractice, workers' compensation claims and estate issues.

Goodrich was one of the first criminal defense lawyers in Pittsburgh to try a case involving DNA evidence.

Goodrich, a 1983 graduate from St. Francis University, received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law where he served as president of the Law Alumni Association. He was named Irishman of the Year (2005) by the Knights of Equity and Iron City Man of the Year in 2006. He is an acknowledged Super Lawyer - 2006 to present, and an invited member to the Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Goodrich currently serves as the fundraising director and one of the parade directors for the annual Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade. Goodrich is second generation Irish. His ancestors came from Counties Mayo, Galway and Kilkenny.
